CDAJim: UI made right decision

CDAJim (RE: UIdaho football switch upsets donors ): “Idaho went “big time” in football because of the “keeping up with the Joneses” syndrome created by Boise State going big time in football. Many of us agreed with that move by Idaho at the time. It just plain didn’t workout, so president Staben had to make a very tough decision to move football back to the Big Sky, joining the other UI athletic programs. Staben’s comment about not having the tail wag the dog is absolutely true;just look at the financial disaster going on at Washington State due to the multi-million dollar debt created by its football program. It’s time for all Idaho alumni to look at the big picture and back the president and an outstanding institution of higher education.”
