Debates, forums coming up in top Idaho races…
Tonight on Idaho Public Television’s “Idaho Reports,” Sen. Mike Crapo and his Democratic challenger, Jerry Sturgill, will appear together for a discussion moderated by co-host Melissa Davlin. On Monday, KTVB-TV will host a debate between 1 st District GOP Rep. Raul Labrador and his Democratic challenger, James Piotrowski. Next Friday, Labrador and Piotrowski both will be interviewed on Idaho Reports; the following Friday, 2 nd District Rep. Mike Simpson will appear (his Democratic challenger hasn’t responded to invitations to the show); and on Oct. 28, the two candidates for the Idaho Supreme Court – Robyn Brody and Curt McKenzie – will debate on live TV in the “Idaho Debates” on Idaho Public Television.
Here’s the rundown:
Tonight’s Crapo-Sturgill discussion will air statewide at 8 p.m., then re-air Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Mountain time, 9:30 Pacific. Plus, after it airs, you can watch it here online any time, along with a “Web Extra” in which BSU professor emeritus Jim Weatherby and I will join Davlin for online post-show analysis.
On Monday, Oct. 17, Labrador and Piotrowski will face off on live TV with KTVB’s Dee Sarton and Weatherby as the moderators. The hour-long, commercial-free debate will air live on Channel 7.2, KTVB’s 24/7 channel. And then it will re-air multiple times, including Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Channel 7, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. on 7.2, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. on 7-2, and Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. on Channel 7.
The Idaho Reports programs all air at their regular time, 8 p.m. statewide, and re-air Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Mountain time, 9:30 Pacific. Plus, after they air, they can be viewed online here .
The Idaho Supreme Court debate will air statewide on Idaho Public Television at 8 p.m. on Oct. 28; more details will be available soon on when it will re-air after that.
