Hearn earns vote
I have lived in Coeur d’Alene for four years. Is four years enough time to represent the voters of District 4? Is four years enough time to understand the consequences of decisions made by the state Legislature? Is four years enough time to understand and appreciate the shared values of family, responsibility, fairness and independence that is so representative of Idaho?
Without adequate funding for schools, Idaho will remain one of the worst states in school rankings. Local levies are now close to a quarter of our schools’ budget and have kept our schools barely alive. The state is showing a projected $64 million surplus, a surplus after years of severely cutting school funding.
Tom Hearn has a lifetime of experiences working for our families and children, earning the confidence of Republican and Democratic governors to be appointed to state-level boards. Local voters picked Tom to be voted to the Coeur d’Alene School District Board of Trustees.
Let’s be proud of the public schools our children and grandchildren are attending. But, in four years of living in Coeur d’Alene, neither Paul Amador nor myself is experienced enough to represent the voters. Tom Hearn is qualified and has earned your vote. .
