Idaho has lots of low-paying jobs

The bad news: Idahoans in general and Kootenai County residents in particular don’t make all that much money.

Idaho, in fact, with an average weekly wage of $725 for full- and part-time workers, ranks ahead of only Mississippi, according to figures released Friday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The numbers reflect employment and wages through the first quarter of 2016.

Kootenai County workers earned an average of $677 per week, while neighboring Shoshone County checked in at $771/ Steve Cameron , Coeur d’Alene Press. More here.

Question: Is a low-paying job better than no job?
