Weekend Wild Card — 9.10-11.16
Mrs O & I inadvertently became part of a walk to raise awareness for suicide prevention in Coeur d’Alene. We took Huckleberry to City Park for our usual Saturday AM walk. And were surprised by all the other walkers out. And bicyclists. And joggers. The waterfront was busy for a shoulder season weekend day. No one was on the beaches or in the water. Too breezy. I enjoy this time of the year most of all because we locals have the lake to ourselves. I’m OK with tourists and visitors. We need them to stimulate the local economy. But I’m more OK when they leave and the town becomes ours again. Here’s your Wild Card …
