Letter: Motorists ignore red lights

Is going through a red light no longer illegal in Coeur d’Alene? I watch several times daily as cars just run the light, usually on Northwest Boulevard. I would never go forward on a green light in this town without looking or I would have been dead a long time ago. One morning recently we saw a police office in the next lane. Three cars whizzed through the red, nothing, no response. We all just waited until they went through as no one could go forward even though the light was green for several seconds. Just a head’s up to travelers through town, DO NOT GO ON A GREEN LIGHT unless you check first or you will be slammed/ Rev. Jennifer Rohlmeier , Coeur d’Alene, letter to the Coeur d’Alene Press.
