Leaders shun duties

I am nauseated reading the “strategy” the elected officials are using in order to get elected. Possibly not funding aid to flood-ravaged states, requested by Republicans, so they don’t have to provide funding to clean up lead-tainted water in Flint, Michigan, which is being requested by Democrats.

Despicable, obscene, cowardly, shameful, treasonous … these are just a few of the adjectives that describe the actions being taken by those elected to serve “We, the People of the United States.”

People, this is totally unacceptable behavior. This is not some sports event where one team wins and the other loses. We all lose when those in power shun their duty to serve in our best interest, which includes clean drinking water and providing disaster assistance.
