Volunteers needed to re-route Scotchman Peak Trail
TRAILS – The Friends of the Scotchman Peaks Wilderness are trying to round up a big turnout to finish re-routing the popular Scotchman Peak Trail #65 northeast of Lake Pend Oreille .
The group is organizing volunteers to add switchbacks and avoid a steep and badly eroding section of the route up the peak for National Public Lands Day Sept. 23-24.
Volunteers can join the effort on one or both days.
