AG spokesman faces drug charges
Todd Dvorak, the spokesman for the Idaho Attorney General’s Office, left his position Wednesday after being charged in Lewiston with misdemeanor marijuana possession.
According to records filed in Nez Perce County Magistrate Court, Dvorak was cited Friday with misdemeanor marijuana possession by the Lewiston Police Department. He has pleaded innocent to the charge and retained Lewiston attorney Charles Stroschein to represent him.
Dvorak’s departure was announced Wednesday afternoon in a news release from the attorney general’s office. Brian Kane, assistant chief deputy with the attorney general’s office, said Dvorak submitted his resignation to Attorney General Lawrence Wasden. Kane directed questions about the reasons for the resignation to Dvorak.

DFO: If this had happened a few miles west, in Washington, there would have been fewer consequences. Should Dvorak’s career be flushed down the toilet for a crime in Idaho that isn’t a crime in Oregon or Washington?
