Let courts handle issue

Congratulations to The Spokesman-Review. You’ve stooped to a new low. It’s always been my belief that a person is innocent until proven guilty. Not according to The Spokesman. Sunday’s issue tried, convicted and passed sentence before these students had their day in court.

You have swung public opinion into thinking that there are nothing but criminals on that football team. Wrong. There are great kids on that team. .. some make bad decisions, as all young people do at some time. I know I sure did. And most of you did, too.

Let the courts do their job. Not The Spokesman. You have become a tabloid newspaper, and Thomas Clouse a tabloid reporter. I think it was also a cheap shot to put a picture of the kid that got hit looking like he just got back from church camp. Wasn’t he at a party drinking?

Of course, I’m sure it will be reported that he only had one beer. When trouble comes, that’s all any of us have. Right.
