GoFundMe set up for coaches
Here’s the wording for the NIC Coaches Medical Fund, established on GoFundMe by their friends and family. The goal is to raise $10,000:
“Thursday, September 22, North Idaho College Men’s Basketball coaches including Head Coach Corey Symons and associates were traveling to Portland on a recruiting trip when a terrible accident occured. After hitting a deer on I-90, while pulled over on the side of the road with a tow truck, a driver in a Jeep swerved onto the shoulder and hit some of the men. George Swanson and Christopher Kemp were hit the hardest and rushed by helicopter and ambulance to Sacred Heart. George suffered multiple broken bones including his pelvis (in four places), scapula, humerous, femur, and ribs and a collapsed lung. His surgeries went well today, there are more to come and it will be a very long and painful recovery and he will not be able to work for quite some time. Chris suffered a fractured vertabra and will wear a neck brace for 6 weeks. We are so grateful and happy that they are all still with us today!!! Thank you in advance, every little bit helps in covering medical bills, loss of work, etc.” You can link here.
