Tea Party usurped GOP

Though 96, I still have a few words in regard to politics. Supported by Congress, George W. Bush led us into two wars. Unable to extract our military from either war, actions of Bush and Congress brought us into a severe recession.

When President Obama was elected, an un-American Congress tried to make him a one-term president. However, without congressional support, he was strong enough to lead us out of recession while providing an improved economy. How well would he have succeeded if he had congressional cooperation?

With actions decidedly un-American, the “Tea Party,” the party of “No” usurped and replaced the Republican Party. They nominated Donald Trump as presidential candidate. Trump has few, if any, qualifications for president and is completely naïve regarding world politics.

True Republicans proclaim they will not vote for Trump and some people have even said they will not vote. Why have we allowed the party of “No” to bring this nation so low people refuse to honor those who have died for it? Those who served and those who died did not refuse to do their duty. How can anyone neglect to do their duty by failing to vote?
