Soapbox: You need to watch debate

On her Facebook wall, Post Falls Councilwoman Kerri Thoreson posts:

I intend to watch the Trump / Clinton debate (tonight). I’m not looking to be entertained and I’m not among the undecideds but one of these two people will be elected to the highest office in the land come November. What I do not need or want: a posse of pundits giving their spin and interpretation of who said what and their opinion of either or both of the candidates. The citizenry’s collective intelligence is often insulted by the chorus of “expert” opinions when we’re all quite capable of making our own decisions. If ever there were a time in our nation’s history that requires careful, informed and introspective discernment it is now. Be still and tune out the noise. God Bless America.
