Hump Day Wild Card — 4.5.17

Is it better to be passionate about a sports team, like the Gonzaga Bulldogs, and experience the sadness/disappointment of a crushing loss. Or to never experience that passion for a sports team? More often than not, you’re going to be disappointed in the end. Only one team wins the NCAA Tournament. Only one team wins the World Series. Only one team wins the Super Bowl. I’ve had the good fortune of rooting for some champions (SF 49ers, 1980s-1994; SF Giants, 2010-14; Gonzaga, 1999 - today). But I’ve experienced a lot of disappointments along the way. Not as many as a Cubs fan (until 2016). But a lot. What do you think. Is it better to root-toot-toot for the home team? Or not to root at all? You can answer that question or start your own thread with this Wild Card …
