Too much interstate trash
On my way to the Spokane airport, I noticed a lot of trash on the sides of Highway 95 from Sagle going to Coeur d’Alene. When getting on I-90 in Coeur d’Alene to go to Spokane, I could not believe the amount or trash and garbage on the sides of the road and in the center divide between the four lanes of traffic. Do these people, who toss out trash on the roadways, think the snow is going to devour all of the papers, bottles, cans and other garbage, so when the snow melts all of this trash will be gone, or do they even care?
From Sandpoint to Coeur d’Alene on Highway 95 does not have as much trash as does I-90 from Coeur d’Alene to Spokane. I guess the folks in Idaho are a little cleaner than the folks in Washington. How about people who have been convicted of minor crimes put on those orange vests and start picking up trash?
Come on, people, we are not pigs so let’s all please clean up our roadways and stop tossing trash. Our roadways in northern Idaho and in Eastern Washington, even with all the potholes, should be as pristine as our surroundings.
