The Slice: When you travel, sometimes there’s a pop quiz

There’s nothing like travel to remind you that it helps to have a few prepared answers for questions about Spokane.

Now I didn’t say canned answers. You don’t want to be robotic about it.

But it never hurts to have a few ideas in mind. That way, when someone asks about Spokane, you won’t be momentarily stumped.

Many times over the years, I’ve found Slice readers are a reliable source of wisdom in these matters. So once again, I turn to you for advice.

We’ll get to that directly.

I’ll be doling out a few coveted reporter’s notebooks and NCAA Final Four baubles to readers submitting especially helpful answers. Please get answers to me by Tuesday night, so I can include them in a column next weekend..\

So, OK. How would you briefly answer the following questions?
