Celebrating The Bard, poetry

Proprietor Melissa DeMotte of Well Read Moose and Washington Poet Laureate Tod Marshall have cooked up something special to celebrate National Poetry Month this month — and our late friend Tom Wobker, The Bard of Sherman Avenue. They plan to stage an hour-long poetry reading, beginning at 6 p.m. Monday at the Well Read Moose. Tod and fellow poet Roger Dunsmore will read their poetry — and some by The Bard. Tod will read some of The Bard’s poems that aren’t in his book: “The Bard of Sherman Avenue: Poems by Tom Wobker.” He’s also asked me to read a couple of Tom’s poems. BTW, the first 2 runs of 200 books have sold out. Tod has ordered a 3rd run of 100 books.
