Update: 2 injured in car-train crash

News release from Detective Dennis Stinebaugh/KCSO:

UPDATE: The person believed to have been driving the vehicle stuck has been identified as 18 year old Austin C. Wiseman of Hayden, ID. The other occupant of the involved vehicle is a 15 year old female believed to be from Coeur d’Alene, ID. At this time, deputies are still working to make proper notifications prior to releasing the name.

At 3:10 pm Kootenai County Deputies were dispatched to Railroad crossing at N. Huetter Road and Lancaster Avenue, regarding a train Vs. Passenger vehicle collision. The vehicle struck was occupied by at least two. Emergency personnel had to extract occupant. One occupant is considered in critical condition and the second occupant is in serious condition. Both have been transported by medical at this time.
