City: Beware of sewer scam

Alert from city of Coeur d’Alene:

“We have received numerous calls today regarding companies trying to sell water and sewer line insurance to City customers. The companies are using the AARP logo on their solicitation letters and calls. The Water Department does not support these solicitations as it is difficult to prove the legitimacy of the individual companies. Using the information they get from AARP or similar lists, they are targeting the elderly that are on fixed incomes and easily preyed upon.
