Supreme Court undermined

Conservatives are rejoicing that they have replaced Justice Scalia with a “constitutionalist.” Republican senators have such passion for the Constitution they were willing to ignore their constitutional duty to provide “advice and consent” when Obama nominated a replacement.

Sen. McConnell and his Senate colleagues have diminished the legitimacy of the Supreme Court and turned the nomination process into an exercise in political power.
