Tax returns a top concern

Clay Bennett’s April 19 humorous cartoon showing our president’s tax returns as “top top secret,” illustrates what should be a top national concern. Why? Because our president took the oath of office to uphold our Constitution. And his foreign business activities are likely in conflict with both our Constitution and his oath. Much has been written. Many protest.

On C-SPAN, Feb. 24, Congressman John Sarbanes, D-Maryland, exposed a long list of known Trump foreign dealings. He started with “… his $940 million loan from the Bank of China.”

This isn’t a political party issue; this is a possible major conflict of interest concern for all Americans, and for citizens of other countries. It’s resolution should be a top priority for our nonpartisan U.S. Supreme Court.
