Nye sworn in, goes to work

Idaho has a new federal district judge, at long last; new Judge David Nye was sworn in this morning in a private ceremony in Pocatello, and is expected to immediately take on a full caseload. A public investiture ceremony will be scheduled in the coming weeks.

9 ^th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Randy Smith, a former law partner of Nye’s, administered the oath this morning.

Nye replaces longtime Judge Edward Lodge, who took senior status on July 3, 2015/ Betsy Russell , Eye on Boise. More here .
