More of the same

Repeal is dead. Now up, replace, which won’t last long because if they’re not synonymic - one, at the least, infers the other. So now it’s on to the third R: repair. The new buzzword was spoken by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi mere moments after the crash took place and the flames were yet to be extinguished, which leads one to believe that the anticipatory rhetorical skills of the Dems remain undiminished.

When this new “bipartisan” approach eventually sees the light of day, no doubt the firmest common ground will be massive taxpayer funded health insurance industry bailouts. Better give those lobbyists the big fat bonus checks they so readily deserve. So dig in because here to stay for the foreseeable future are cut hours, economic stagnation more out-of-pocket expense and deteriorating care.

In other words, more of the same. Maybe it’s time for Trump to forget about his phone and use his pen to inflict on Congress the blessings of the ACA.
