Presidency has limits

According to Jim Barbieri’s letter, Trump is the next Reagan. Looking back on Reagan’s tax cuts, I paid more taxes every year that Reagan was president. His tax cuts eliminated most of the deductions for consumer credit interest, making the middle class pay more taxes. The very rich had their rates lowered. Trump is proposing a similar change and the middle class will pay more taxes than ever.

Barbieri claims that Trump has made America great again in six months. I suppose Jim could walk into a casino, win a jackpot, and it would be because Trump is president. Last year if Jim lost money gambling, it was Obama’s fault.

It’s delusional to think everything revolves around the presidency. That’s like thinking that when President Trump signs an executive order, suddenly America becomes great and our lilacs bloom outside in December.

Apparently the only thing holding America back from greatness is a tweet from President Trump. Soon Barbieri will say that Trump changed lead into gold. Well, it’s more like water color gold paint on lead bars.
