Appreciate the editor

Upon reading the column by Rob Curley in today’s S.R., I was struck again what a great editor we have. He really nailed the situation about Saturday’s publication of the religion column. I agree wholeheartedly that some surrounding context for the column would have been not only appropriate but necessary to present another side to the issue discussed.

What a great response from Rob Curley in emphasizing what might have been done. I accept Rob’s apology and commend him for offering it and making it clear that the newspaper has a responsibility not only to inform, but to teach, and in this case dropped the ball a little. Keep up the good work, Rob. The paper has not been as good, readable, inclusive and inviting for a long time as it is since you came. Thank you.
