Nice to see column
I read Saturday’s column by Pastor Massey describing much of what many of us traditional folks believe.
Nice to see something other that the media’s continual endorsing every politically correct fad — the constant barrage of marijuana information, how to improve schools (throw more money at them, lower standards, pop a pill for bad behavior, make excuses for students).
It was a pleasure to read one little column that carefully explained a conservative, traditional point of view.
But Editor Rob Curley shattered that by his quick next0day column of continual apology for the “local pastor’s column.” (Couldn’t even mention his name?)
From what I understood of Curley’s twisting about, he wished it had never been run, that he had read it ahead of time, or an alternative viewpoint had been published right next to it.
Does he ensure that all pieces have an accompanying opposite view as well?
Curley’s last words are especially troubling, “So many of us choose not to understand — or even believe — all sides of the story. We don’t even want to hear it.”
I guess The Spokesman doesn’t either, especially if it’s conservative.
