Supporting CMR

I would like to commend our Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers on her recent townhall. She not only listened to her constituents and answered their questions, but she also patiently waited while those in the audience who do not support her had their time at the microphone. She not only comes home to talk face to face with her constituents regularly, she fights for us while she is in D.C. A great example around helping small-business owners was her support and passage of the Financial CHOICE Act (a roll back of many of the regulations that make getting a small business loan extremely difficult).

As a small-business owner, I recently got to experience firsthand the complicated rules and regulations involved in getting a loan for an office remodel. The time involved in filling out forms over and over, talking on the phone and being visited to prove that I actually do have a business, was daunting. Until the CHOICE Act becomes law, the current hurdles put in place with the Dodd-Frank legislation are a huge burden to further recovery and growth of the biggest financial engine of our nation, the engine of small business.
