Much ado about nothing

Tuned in to the evening news to see once again that we are about to be destroyed by the powerful madman, Kim Jong Un. Give me a break! Our media grants him this power based on his threatening rhetoric. If Kim is a madman, then certainly we must conclude that our own leader is a madman for using similar inflammable rhetoric. Trump’s statement, “They will be met with fire and fury… the likes of which the world has never seen before,” leaves only one possible option: full scale nuclear war.

North Korea has had the weaponry capable of destroying South Korea for decades. Why haven’t they? They could easily fill fishing boats with explosives and drive them into our harbors and detonate them. Why haven’t they? Our media’s case for this imminent nuclear attack seems based on the idea that Kim is free to destroy us and our allies without fear of retribution.

Fortunately, Kim knows that he and his country would be obliterated if he attacks us, and he shows no signs of being suicidal. To the contrary, he shows every sign of enjoying the powerful persona that our media and politicians confer upon him.
