GOP rebuffed Obama

I need to respond to Mr. Hal Dixon’s Aug. 9 letter, “Democrats made the mess.” Really? Democrats have been trying to establish a health care platform for all Americans for decades. Remember how Hillary was shot down when Bill was the president? The GOP has always stood on the side of profits for big business. And bipartisanship was a thing of the past the moment Obama won the election.

We should all remember that Sen. Mitch McConnell was the one who threw down the gauntlet saying, “he’s going to be a one term president. …”

I’m not saying that Obama was perfect, but no one can deny he wasn’t given a chance. He tried to bring the GOP to the table often but those attempts were constantly rebuffed. The GOP stood against Obama from the day he won the election.
