Idaho pays respects to longtime Gov. Andrus
The public has until 7 tonight to stop by and pay respects to former longtime Idaho Gov. Cecil Andrus as he lies in state in the Capitol rotunda; the Capitol will reopen at 7 a.m. tomorrow and people again can pay their respects until noon. The guest book asks for two entries: Name, and memories. A teen ahead of me in line thanked Andrus for a remembered childhood pat on the head. Many wrote that they thanked him for all he did for Idaho.
On Thursday, a public memorial service will be held at Boise State University, in the Jordan Ballroom of the student union building, starting at 2 p.m.
