Haven’t missed NFL
As an avid fan of collegiate and professional football, I initially hesitated to join the boycott of the NFL for players disrespecting the flag and anthem. However, most of us who have had family or friends come home in a coffin, draped in the U.S. flag, are very offended by the NFL players protests during the playing of the anthem. Additionally, the refusal to remove their helmets or caps, along with not facing and looking at the flag, shows blatant disrespect to our military, as well as our country.
I couldn’t in good conscience continue to ignore the disrespect. Therefore, I have chosen to just watch college football. To my amazement, I haven’t really missed the NFL games. And all those hours saved have done wonders for my “honey do” list. Try it, you’ll like it.
Maybe when the players realize their contracts are becoming smaller and smaller due to reduced revenues, things will change. It may be too late. Some of us may never come back to watching whining millionaires playing for greedy billionaires.
