Tax bill a sham

The GOP tax bill is a shameless money grab for the last people in this country who need extra help: big corporations and the super wealthy.

Republican senators have just passed a sham bill through the Senate with next to no discussion, review or attention to the voices of their constituents. This so-called jobs and tax cut bill will unquestionably hurt working class families and the poor.

The largest cuts are going to the extremely wealthy, while trying to convince us that these cuts are worth slashing essential services. People who rely on programs like food stamps or the ACA won’t be able to afford basic nutrition and medical services. We’ll wake up to find $1.4 trillion added to the national debt — and these leaders claim to care about children, fiscal responsibility and the future of this country.

This isn’t about Republicans vs. Democrats; it’s about the wealthiest pulling wool over our eyes and robbing our communities for their own greed.

Call Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers and tell her to vote no.
