Thankful for sex-ed decision
In light of the recent Spokane Public Schools decision to shelve the “Get Real” curriculum, I am relieved. This was a faulty plan that could not be considered sex education. As it was partially designed by Planned Parenthood, the wrong message of promiscuity would have been conveyed to students causing misinformation and harm.
Since the district will hand-pick educational materials on a lesson-by lesson basis, it is my hope that abstinence and chastity issues be brought to the forefront.
