Why drag out past?

Your Nov. 28 article about a Davenport man killed by a deer has the subheading about his criminal conviction back in 1994. Why drag his widow and family through the journalist gutter? He had served his time and his wife and family had nothing to do with what he did.

I would like to know why you just didn’t report his death?
