Thanks for wine coverage

Thank you for Adriana Janovich’s superb coverage of the Washington wine industry. She hit all the bases — quality, production, varietals, cost competitiveness, national and international recognition, economic impact – in accurately reporting how fortunate we wine fans in the Inland Northwest are.

For any readers interested in following the industry’s continuing growth, I can’t recommend highly enough the wine program of Walla Walla Community College. It was the very first community college in America offering this training. Luckily for wine aficionados, it operates College Cellars as a retail operation selling its wonderful wines. Their list of graduates who have been hired by name wineries is impressive. A school program like this has the full support of the wine industry and this kind of collegial effort is what will lead to the brightest of futures for Washington wines.

Thank you again for Adriana’s fine and well-researched work in highlighting this vital and vibrant industry.
