Renew CHIP funding

Muhammad Ali once said that children make you want to start life over again. The Swiss philosopher, Henri Amiel said, “Blessed be children, which brings down something from Heaven into the midst of our rough earthiness.” Caring for and loving every child is not a liberal of conservative issue. It’s a moral issue; it is a search your heart and soul issue.

Federal funding for the Children’s Health and Insurance Program (CHIP), ran out of money in September and Congress has failed to renew it. Unless many families can find free health insurance for their children, those low-income kids will not have health care insurance. How could any decent human being allow an effective program that benefits low-income children expire? Even though each state will have some CHIP money available, it’s up to Congress to quickly restore the program so that the states don’t run out of the necessary money. Search your heart and soul, Congress, and do the right thing.
