“On behalf of the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations we express our deepest condolences to Marilyn’s family. One of our founders Tony Stewart expressed: ‘I am personally deeply saddened by the passing of one of my dearest friends. I spent many years working with Marilyn while she was the Executive Director of the Idaho Human Rights Commission, and when she represented the Governor of Idaho on the North West Coalition against malicious harassment. I remember when Governor Cecil Andrus called her Idaho’s human rights conscience.’ Marilyn was inducted into the Idaho Hall of Fame in April of 2016 at the KCTFHR Banquet held in Coeur d’Alene. May she rest in peace and her great legacy continue on” — Christie Wood , president of the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations.
