Annual Darrington Lecture in Lincoln Auditorium at 4 today will feature New Mexico’s chief justice
At 4 this afternoon in the Lincoln Auditorium, New Mexico Supreme Court Chief Justice Charles Daniels will deliver this year’s Denton Darrington Annual Lecture on Law and Government. The topic is, “Pretrial Justice Reform: Promoting public safety and constitutional rights through evidence-based release and detention.”
The public is invited to the lecture, which also will be livestreamed online here courtesy of Idaho Public Television. A reception will follow the hour-long lecture.
This is the third annual Darrington Lecture, sponsored by the University of Idaho College of Law, the Idaho Supreme Court, and the Idaho State Bar and Law Foundation; it’s named for former longtime Idaho Senate Judiciary Chairman Denton Darrington, R-Declo.
