Thwart dictatorial streak

Americans of both parties should be alarmed at the shoot from the hip, vindictive governing style occurring in Washington now. Where is the debate on these serious issues such as reinstatement and broadening of Mexico City policy, muzzling of government employees and the infamous border wall?

At this point, it appears President Trump issues an executive order and slam dunk, game over. Or is it? Surely our senators and representatives can modify these far-reaching and/or irrational edicts so they are more even-handed and, yes, feasible in the case or the great Trump wall.

It’s time for the losers in the election such as myself to quit licking our wounds and the winners to turn from gloating about their victory. This guy has a dictatorial, vindictive streak that needs serious adjusting, and we need to remind our elected officials of this. It’s their responsibilities to represent all of us in a fair-minded, informed manner. If you don’t agree with what’s happening, it’s your job to let them know.
