Haskell didn’t co-author column

I did not co-author the guest column in The Spokesman-Review that was published on Feb. 11 (“Sexual assault victims deserve equal protection”). Neither did I give my permission for my name to be attached to the contents of the letter.

Though I do support the notion that victims of sexual assault should not receive less protection than victims of domestic violence, stalking or harassment, that is the extent of my endorsement of the proposed bill.

Larry Haskell

Spokane

Editor’s note: Erin Williams Hueter submitted the column via email “along with my colleague, Mr. Larry Haskell, Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney.” He did not participate in the writing of the column, and his name has been removed from the online version.
