Not protecting constituents

We are learning that Trump has a limitless desire for revenge and payback. The person who has his ear is Steve Bannon, purveyor of fake news and an anarchist, who in interviews compares himself to Darth Vader and Satan. Targets? Groups and demographics that didn’t vote for Trump.

Forget about the news cycle of distracting tweets showing his blatant disregard for objective truth. It’s his Cabinet choices and executive orders that tell the real tale. They are aimed at damaging the economies of California and Washington, at scientists, at Mexico and all Latinos, at blacks, at teachers, at environmentalists, at the poor, sick and disabled, at federal workers, at women, and at artists and musicians. They are surgical in their specificity, but the collateral damage is massive.

No USDA grants. There goes our future wheat crops. No Mexican workers? No one to harvest the fruit trees. No trade with China? There goes our aircraft industry and much of our high-tech industry, the source of most of Washington state’s booming economy.

Why the silence of Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers? Why is she not protecting the interests of her constituents? Don’t they include farmers, high tech workers, teachers and women?
