Rising from beneath the snow

I guess I shouldn’t have had those dark thoughts toward my newspaper carrier for missing my Dec. 26, Dec. 27 and Jan. 19 newspapers this winter. I found all three poking through the melting snow over the weekend. I guess I can grouse that the papers weren’t on the front porch or on the walkway where they belong. But I wouldn’t want to be the poor carrier who fought the lousy weather of Winter 2016-17 to provide daily newspaper service.

Question: Besides dog poop, have you found anything interesting poking through the snow as it melts?
