Simpson: Townhalls not my style

Several Idaho groups are demanding Idaho representatives and senators to host town halls meetings so their voices can be heard on the state of the country.

In a KBOI 2News Facebook live interview Wednesday, U.S. Congressman Mike Simpson said he’s not a fan of town hall formats. It’s been several years since he’s held one.

“I’ve never been really active in doing town halls,” Simpson said. “Town hall meetings I have found, generally, disintegrate into yelling efforts and you know I’m willing to sit down with anybody and talk to them that wants to have a constructive discussion and dialogue and difference of opinion - I value the input that my constituent’s give to me”/ KBOI News Staff.
