Legislators to host townhalls
Unlike their Republican congressional counterparts, several state lawmakers representing Kootenai County districts will meet this weekend with constituents at town hall gatherings.
District 2 Rep. Eric Redman, R-Athol, will hold two health care town halls on Saturday. Redman will be at the Athol Community Center, 30355 Third St., at 10 a.m., and he will host a second town hall at 2 p.m. at Hayden Public Library, 8385 N. Government Way.
“I am looking forward to an informational and respectful discussion with the people of my district. I hope to see you there!” said Redman Wednesday in a Facebook post announcing his town halls.
Also on Saturday, District 4 Reps. Luke Malek, R-Coeur d’Alene, and Paul Amador, R-Coeur d’Alene, will host a town hall forum in Coeur d’Alene.
Malek and Amador’s town hall gathering will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Room at Coeur d’Alene Public Library/ Coeur d’Alene Press . More here.
