Montana requires new fishing, hunting licenses starting March 1

FISHING — Deadlines are fast approaching for hunting and fishing in Montana.

• March 1 is the date 2017 fishing licenses are required.
• March 15 is the deadline to apply for elk and deer hunting permits.
• May 1 is the deadline to apply for moose, sheep, goat and bison licenses
• June 1 is the deadline to apply for antlerless deer B and elk B licenses and antelope and licenses.
