What’s with driveway berms this year?

So I’m sick as a dog after the last dump of snow, only to see that the snow plows, which are efficient, have plowed a berm across my driveway for the third time this year. I’m too sick to shovel the berm out. Mrs. O, only weeks shy of her 61st birthday, does the honors, in shifts, with Huckleberry leashed to her side. In recent years, city plows have dropped their gates to ensure that they didn’t plow in driveways. Has something changed this year?
