DFO: I’m probably to blame. I have run studs on my 4Runner only once in the last five years. And I’m not running this year. I’m usually the one stirring things up by suggesting they’re better than all-weather-drive snow tires. After driving a 2016 Nissan Altima rental car during my 4Runner’s 10 days at the repair shop for deer damage, I’m not so sure. The Altima provided a smooth quality ride on icy roads.

Question: Anyone out there running studs?
