Sheriff Ben: Our crews are the best
In a comment posted yesterday on HucksOnline, Kootenai County Sheriff Ben Wolfinger writes about a controversy involving snow removal that has Boise stirred up this week:
“Spent the day in Boise today at the Idaho Public Safety Communication’s Commission. All I heard all day was the constant complaints from locals about the Ada County Highway District and their lack of plowing, particular of residential neighborhoods. They are the only highway district in Ada County and they reportedly publicly stated that they don’t care about residential streets. This after Boise received record snowfall yesterday. (Record for Boise, not Northern Idaho.) I saw it first hand. Additionally, local businesses don’t plow parking lots nor do some even shovel the sidewalks in front of the business. I am so glad to live in Kootenai County!”
