City apologizes to plowed-in driver
Deputy City Administrator Sam Taylor has contacted Jamie Sedlmayer re: her complaint that she was plowed in this morning while driving on a city street:
“I just got off the phone with Jamie and wanted to thank her so much for how kind and understanding she was. She also deserves an apology for the situation and I’m very sorry. Streets & Engineering Director Tim, Martin is on top of this and we will work to ensure we’re more thoughtful on these situations. As Tim told me earlier, our priority is and should be customer service.
“Thanks so much again to Jamie for the phone call and great conversation. She was concerned this ended up on here, but I believe she has every right to share her concerns. This is a great teachable moment for us.
“Thanks to everyone who has provided kind comments on the crew’s work. They have worked non-stop for 20 days straight due to the frequency of snowfall and I know it is challenging.”
DFO: Classy.
