Keep America sick?

The people who speak out against Planned Parenthood are clearly ignorant of the many services provided by this outstanding organization. Since most opponents cite abortion services as their primary objection, it might be helpful to know that “only 3 percent of all Planned Parenthood health services are abortion services,” according to the organization’s website.

I am 69 years old and clearly remember what a blessing it was to have Planned Parenthood services available when I was a single mom in my 20s. They have been around for 100 years, because they provide a vital community service.

For example, “Planned Parenthood provides more than 270,000 Pap tests and more than 360,000 breast exams in a single year, critical services in detecting cancer.” Also, “Planned Parenthood provides more than 4.2 million tests and treatments for sexually transmitted infections, including more than 650,000 HIV tests.”

If you want to “keep America sick,” get rid of Planned Parenthood.
